The hydraulic jack, despite the seeming simplicity of the lifting mechanism, is quite difficult to replace when performing normal lifting and holding operations.

Signs that the jack is out of order: it began to "lift" various loads with difficulty, the level of lifting to the height has been significantly reduced, more moves are required to set at the desired "point". Another clear sign of a jack breakdown is that it refuses to go down.

Instructions

Step 1

There are several possible reasons. Perhaps rust has formed inside the jack, and this is a limiter for lowering the mechanism to the desired position. There is a version that the hydraulic automobile jack has experienced an outrageous load, and this has led to the fact that the rod is bent.

Step 2

Disassemble the unit in any case. A hydraulic jack is a cylinder inside which a piston (rod) moves due to hydraulic fluid. The built-in valve creates pressure in the working cylinder. There is a pump that directs fluid into the cylinder. The speed of lowering the load is regulated by the hole through which the liquid coming from the cylinder flows out. The hydraulic jack device has various threads on the rods, bodies and bases.

Step 3

Next, carry out the following activities. Using the keys, disassemble the unit completely, unscrew the elements of the fastening material. Remove the special oil bleed valve and primary piston from the unit. On a closer inspection, even without being an experienced technician, check the reliability and quality of the two gaskets and the valve ball. If they are in poor condition, replace them with newer ones. Thoroughly clean the mechanism from foreign elements, flush the system.

Step 4

If the unit has been opened, then immediately replace the spindle oil, which is intended for machines and mechanisms of industrial equipment. Fill with a better quality hydraulic oil such as Total LHM + or any other high grade. Install new rubber bands and drain the old oil. To do this fully and efficiently, apply the lifting part of the jack, moving it up and down, which will allow the piston to release all liquid through the open chambers.

Step 5

For convenience, remove the holding spring. Tighten the oil bleed valve by placing the check ball in advance. Lift the hydraulic jack up and down to allow oil to enter the mechanism. Assemble the unit, install the fasteners: pins and studs.
