On July 3, 2012, in the city of Lipetsk, a passenger car was "put" in the cage of the city zoo. It was an old but well-preserved BMW 7-series. How long the car will spend "behind bars" is unknown. But it is known that this was done not by chance, but as a measure of drawing attention to the urgent problems of our society.
An ordinary passenger car landed in a zoo cage in order to attract public attention to an international project to improve road safety. The implementation of such a creative solution became possible with the support of the city authorities of Lipetsk. According to the organizers, this action should not go unnoticed among motorists and professional road users. When looking at him, everyone should think about the dangers that lie in wait for everyone on the roads. Many would agree that traffic violations often lead to tragic consequences. Therefore, a malicious violator of the rules is more dangerous than a wild beast.
A sign was installed on the cage: "Rider: Rulilo, reckless driver, driver, ordinary waterman." Such an ironic performance shows that under the control of a violator of the rules, a car becomes a dangerous predator that can take the health or life of many. In addition, the plate also indicates the characteristics of the extraordinary “animal”: “the class is primitive, the species is stupid, the category of rights is B, it drives dangerously, lives a little. A distinctive feature - he cannot drive, he does not want to learn the rules."
The author of the "car in the zoo" Francesco Zambon bought a car from one of the residents of Lipetsk after a long search for a suitable copy. He wanted an old brand model, aggressive in appearance, but in excellent condition. A cage was also welded for him separately. I agreed with the administration of the zoo to rent a place for a nominal fee before winter. But the administration itself does not mind if the cage in the car remains for the whole winter.
The international road safety project was launched simultaneously in 10 countries of the world in 2010. He is actively supported by the World Health Organization. Within the framework of this project, several actions were carried out aimed at improving safety on the roads of the world. In particular, in the Lipetsk region itself, since the beginning of the project period, a 20 percent decrease in violations on the roads has been recorded. Given the success of the project, the authorities are planning to carry out several more similar projects in the near future.
