Correctly installed mirrors play a very important role when driving a car. They allow the driver to widen their vision and avoid many unpleasant moments that may arise on the road. Each car owner sets up the mirrors in the way that is most convenient for him. That is why, sometimes after buying a car, there is a need to raise the car mirror in order to improve the view.
Instructions
Step 1
Carefully start removing the mirror from its place. To do this, first unscrew the screw, and then slowly detach the mirror itself. After this procedure, you will see a small iron penny, which also needs to be removed, since mirrors are attached to it.
Step 2
Heat the penny with a technical hair dryer so that it can be easily detached from the surface of the car. Just be careful when heating, as you can accidentally get on the glass, as a result of which cracks will appear on it. If you don't have a hair dryer, you can use a bituminous stain cleaner. With its help, you can quickly and easily peel off the iron plate.
Step 3
Remove any remaining glue from the surface by wiping with white spirit or any other solvent available at a hardware store.
Step 4
Attach the mirror to the location of your choice and fix it in this position. If you do not know how to fix it, then ask someone you know to hold the mirror in the required position, and sit behind the wheel yourself and see if it is convenient for you to ride like that.
Step 5
Glue the nickle in the new location. It is best to use a two-component glue, as it sticks much better than ordinary glue. Remove excess glue with a soft cloth.
Step 6
Secure the mirror by tightening the screw carefully. Make sure it doesn't wobble. Get behind the wheel and adjust the mirror to the most correct position so that you can see everything as much as possible.
