It is easy to "embellish" your car, and even increase its practicality. And you don’t need to shell out a "heap" of money for this. To do this, you need a welder with the "right" hands, a piece of pipe, a piece of a corner and a can of paint.
Many modern "off-road vehicles" are equipped with a standard mount for a towbar (in the form of a square 51x51mm.) In place of a towbar, many install a rear bumper protection, in the common people called "a dock for dummies." However, the prices for such protections in stores are not at all "democratic". And if you have a decent welder you know, then the price for such protection can be reduced significantly.
We take a pipe with a diameter that matches your concepts of aesthetics and protection, and cut it to the required length (do not forget to weld the pipe on both sides).
We weld two corners of 500 mm in size with a square (we very carefully measure how the square itself is on all sides with a caliper, there is also the inner side of the attachment for the towbar on the car so that the welded square enters the mount without much effort, but at the same time, so that it does not "flounder there ").
We take the pipe, measure out the middle and weld a square to the center (before welding one to the other, do not forget the Russian folk proverb “measure seven times, cut once” and repeatedly try on the pipe to the car so that the geometry is not broken).
After everything is welded and geometrically suits us, we will direct the aesthetic beauty. To do this, we take a can of black car paint, paint and wait until it dries.
We insert the ready-made protection into the mount and fix it there (you need to fix it so that the protection is not close to the bumper, but at the same time, so that it does not protrude far from the car). And then we enjoy the moral (because it is an individual handmade work), aesthetic and practical pleasure.
