With the onset of a real Russian winter, especially if the thermometer dropped below -30 degrees, many car owners are faced with such a problem as starting the engine in frost. In general, it is better to take care of the winter period in the fall. Before winter, it is advisable to change the oil and candles. If your battery is already "half-dead", then it is also better to replace it. It is very difficult to start a car in cold weather with a “half-dead” or discharged battery, and sometimes there is simply not enough voltage to power the starter and to generate sparks. With a good branded battery, starting the engine in cold weather is much easier.

Instructions

Step 1

Firstly, when you got into the car, you first need to warm up the battery in order to increase its capacity and the generated current. This is very easy to do. Without starting the car, turn on the high beam for 30-40 seconds. This action will cause a chemical reaction in the battery and the electrolyte will heat up.

Step 2

Then, if you have an RCP, then be sure to squeeze the clutch, this is necessary so as not to twist the insides of the gearbox. Owners of the automatic transmission do not need to do anything, since the transmission will still spin.

Step 3

We turn the ignition key so that the fuel pump starts working, but we do not turn the starter. We hold the ignition for 5-7 seconds and turn it off. Then we turn on the ignition again, but we do not wait any longer, but immediately turn the starter (the clutch pedal is depressed), if you have an injector, then we do not press the gas. If the engine does not start, then turn off everything and wait for 1-2 minutes, after which we repeat everything again.

Step 4

Again, it did not help and the engine does not want to come to life in any way? If you have an injector, try the trouble-free method!

We squeeze the clutch and gas all the way. We turn on the ignition and turn the starter without stopping for 6-7 seconds (do not release the pedal), then we begin to release the gas pedal very smoothly. Somewhere in the middle of the gas pedal stroke, the car will start to "grab", you need to catch this moment and hold the pedal in this position until the engine starts.

If this method did not help, then you need to unscrew the candles, clean and ignite at home on the stove, after which the car will most likely start without problems.
