VAZ 2106 is a truly legendary child of the domestic car industry. Despite the fact that the production of this car has long been completed, the "sixes" continue to surf the roads and, of course, undergo tuning, which, if desired, can always be done with your own hands.
If your car is a "six", tuning can be done indefinitely. In this car, you can change and modify almost everything.
Tuning headlights "Angel Eyes"
This simple tuning will make your "six" look like a BMW. All you need: 4 hollow louver rods, heat-resistant sealant, 8 diodes, 4 yellow bulbs, 4 resistances of 2 kOhm, a round container with a diameter of the headlight (glass bottle or tin can).
The rods need to be bent around a rounded container, and then secured. Now put them in a preheated oven. After warming up, the rods will become plastic and take a rounded shape, after which they must be pulled out and allowed to cool. Next, make holes with a diameter for the diodes. Remove the "legs" from the diodes, leaving no more than 5 mm. Now heat the soldering iron and solder the diodes parallel to each other, solder the wires to the "legs". Cut the wire going to "plus", stepping back about 15 cm, and put a resistance. Gently drip colorless nail polish into the holes made in the rings and install the diodes. After about 40 minutes, when the varnish is completely dry, make notches every centimeter. Further, a ring with diodes is installed inside the headlight so that the wires fall into a special notch. Now seal the glass with a sealant and leave to dry. Everything, "Angel Eyes" are ready, you can connect.
Tuning bumpers
Many motorists do not like "six" bumpers, so tuning VAZ 2106 often begins with replacing them. The easiest option is to simply replace them with bumpers from the VAZ 2105. Keep in mind that in this case, the mounts will also have to be replaced. The bumpers will look even better when painted in the color of the car. Such tuning of a VAZ can also be easily done with your own hands: sand the bumper well, cover with a primer and let it dry. Then paint in 2-3 layers and cover it all with varnish on top. On sale you can find ready-made tuned plastic bumpers, you can also modify them to your liking.
Radiator grille tuning
If you look well in the automotive market, you can find a tuned grille and just put it on. If this option is too easy for you, you can upgrade the grille yourself. To do this, remove the grate from the machine and cut out the middle with a jigsaw. Next, take some bendable material and go around the inner contour of the future lattice. Cut off any excess, apply fiberglass with epoxy resin and let dry. In order for the layer to turn out even, the procedure will have to be repeated several times. After final drying, separate the bending material and apply a putty, then cover with primer and paint - the grid is ready.
