We all love cars very much, because it is a great means of transportation, but, unfortunately, sometimes they break down and have to be repaired. Differential bearings fail very often. To replace them, you need to remove it, but this can be very difficult. I will tell you how to do it without unnecessary nerves and hassle.
Necessary
- - various pullers;
- - head 24;
- - a knob with a tube;
- - spanner key 19;
- - wooden beams;
- - screwdrivers;
- - a hammer;
- - valve or hairpin with a diameter of 3.5mm (for removing the 5th gear fork).
Instructions
Step 1
We tear off the oil seal at the connection of the right drive, there is also a retaining ring (it is disposable) and it is better to buy a new one later.
Step 2
We unscrew the 5th gear crankcase and see there a nut for 24 and a bolt for 19. Next, we take a spanner wrench for 19 and a head for 24 with a good knob and a lever, we put a spanner wrench on the bolt and the head on the nut, turning the knob counterclockwise, we see that the key rests against the gear, add the effort. Thus, we unscrew both the nut and the bolt, then knock out the 5th gear fork cotter pin and remove the fork together with the gears and the 5th gear synchronizer. Next, you need to remove the rest of the gears, they are removed very simply, if only there was something to pry on, we hook and scroll one of the shafts.
Step 3
We unscrew all the bolts of our "korobas" and half it, and we see the following: 3 shafts with gears and the differential itself. The input and output shafts must be removed at the same time! After removing all the shafts, we begin to remove the differential itself, in a rather vandal way: we put a thick log on the bedding and beat the differential shaft of the right drive against the wood, after a few blows it crawls out, do not forget about the location of the washers under it (one is flat and the other is bent). And so, the differential is in our hands, what to do next is up to you.
