Step 1
The procedure for repairing the motor is associated with many nuances of disassembly, assembly and the actual carrying out of repair measures. If you are not confident in your abilities, it is better to contact a large service station.
Step 2
If you nevertheless decide to carry out all the work on your own, first of all, drain the antifreeze, oil and remove the engine from the car.
Step 3
Next, disassemble the engine: unscrew the cylinder head, all attachments (generator, starter, etc.), connecting rods with pistons, oil pump, crankshaft. As a result, you should be left with a fully disassembled cylinder block.
Step 4
For the block and crankshaft, contact an experienced grinder who will make the required measurements and indicate the future dimensions of the bored pistons. For these dimensions, purchase the required rings, pistons and liners. Also replace all oil seals, gaskets, filters, oil and antifreeze. Check the condition of the sprockets and chain. Replace the oil pressure and temperature sensors.
Step 5
Prepare the cylinder head: re-grind the valves and change the oil seals, check the guides.
Step 6
Start assembly. In the cylinder block, clean all channels. Install the crankshaft. Behind him are pistons with rings and connecting rods, an oil receiver with a pump and a rear cover with an oil seal. Screw on the pallet. Install and secure the cylinder head. Assemble the gas distribution mechanism, screw on the valve cover, timing cover, attachments.
Step 7
Connect all wires. Fill in oil, antifreeze. Install the battery. Until the first couple of thousand kilometers, do not overload the engine in any case, to avoid jamming.
