The essence of the pressure switch is based on comparing the spring force and the compressed air pressure force transmitted to the membrane. But the factory settings are not always clear and quite comfortable, so you can adjust the pressure switch yourself.

Instructions

Step 1

Record the on / off pressure readings on the receiver using the pressure gauge while the pump is running. Turn off the power and remove the top cover by unscrewing one screw.

Step 2

There you will immediately see two bolts, one of which is large and located at the top of the pressure switch, and the other is located under it and is smaller in diameter. Do not forget that the upper bolt is responsible for the shutdown pressure and there are signs "+" and "-" on it, there is also the letter "P" next to it.

Step 3

Rotate the bolt in the desired direction (the direction of rotation depends on whether you need to raise the pressure or lower it on the relay). After making a revolution, start the pump and see at what pressure it will now turn off. Remember the readings and turn off the pump, turn the bolt further, start the pump again and write down the new value, so you approach the desired value of the shutdown relay.

Step 4

After you have configured the turn-off relay, proceed to adjust the turn-on relay in the same way. Start turning the bolt in the desired direction (the direction of rotation depends on whether you need to raise the pressure or lower it on the relay). After making a revolution, start the pump and see at what pressure it will now turn on. Memorize the readings and turn off the pump, turn the bolt further, start the pump again and write down the new value, so you approach the desired value of the switching relay.

Step 5

Remember that the difference between on and off relays is usually about 1.0 - 1.5 bar and the greater this difference, the correspondingly higher the pressure drop. There are also other factory settings, namely, the switch-on pressure is 1.5 - 1.8 bar, the switch-off pressure is 2.5 - 3 bar. All these simple steps will not take you much time, you just need to be extremely careful and follow the instructions, then you will achieve the desired result. The pressure switch must be adjusted periodically, at least once a year.
