The oil meter in the car shows how much of the distance traveled an oil change is required. Often you have to reset it to zero in order to set the desired mileage value before the next topping up or changing the oil.
Instructions
Step 1
To reset the counter on Peugeot, do the following. First, turn off the ignition and turn off the engine. Find the "000" button on the dashboard and click on it. Without releasing your finger from the button, turn on the ignition. Look at the dashboard, there should start a countdown, during which press the "000" button and select the value of the mileage before maintenance. Remember that you can set the values to 20,000 or 30,000 kilometers. After setting the required data, release the button and turn off the engine.
Step 2
For BMW vehicles, to reset the oil indicator, insert the key into the ignition and turn it on. Wait a while, let the check of all systems of the machine pass and the control lamps go out. Look at the dashboard - only mileage and hours should be lit there. Press and hold the daily mileage button until a triangle icon appears with an exclamation mark inside. Find the BC button, which is located on the steering column switch. After that, the icon of the missed service should appear. Select oil change and hold BC until reset appears. Release the button and wait for the counter to reset. Switch off the ignition and check the indicator reading.
Step 3
For Audi vehicles, the counter is reset in the same way. Turn off the ignition and hold the daily mileage reset button located on the speedometer. Switch on the ignition and wait for Service Oil to appear in the mileage window. Then release the run button and pull out the left button on the speedometer, which is responsible for setting the clock. Hold it until Service Oil disappears. "---" will appear in its place. Press the reset of the daily mileage again and wait for the Service INSP inscription, then by setting the clock, make it disappear and turn off the ignition.
