Quite often, the owners of Russian cars are faced with a problem related to the breakdown of the standard signal. In this situation, it is necessary to think about a small reconstruction of the sound signaling system.

Step 1
First, it should be noted that a voltage of 12 V is constantly applied to the sound signal. On VAZ cars there is no relay for the signal. That is why in winter all copper wires and the winding itself become unusable. This may be one of the reasons for the breakdown of the standard signal. To solve the problem, you need to unload the contacts and change the circuit for turning on the sound signal. Put usually a relay "with an eyelet" and a closing contact. You can fix it under the nut of the brake fluid container.
Step 2
There are two wires for the signal. The plus goes along the red wire, and the minus goes along the gray-black wire. Remove the insulation from a small section of the harness. You should see two gray-black wires. A thin one fits the signal. Bite it and ground it under the same nut. Raise the upper end a little and connect to the relay coil. The red wire also needs a bite. Connect the end that goes to the signal with the relay contact. Divide the other end of the red wire to the winding and the other contact. Be sure to restore the insulation.
Step 3
As a result, the signal will constantly be at zero potential. 12 V will be supplied only when it is turned on - therefore there is no electrolysis. The relay and horn are powered through the same fuse.
Step 4
In parallel, you can connect another additional signal. Turkish designs that emit a low tone are very popular. They are larger than standard signals. You can fix it a little lower than the standard one on the same bolt. It is recommended to use normal tinned copper wire lugs for installation. If you do not have a special device for crimping such tips at hand, then you can simply solder them. You should also coat them with Movil. This work takes about 2 hours. Try not to damage the standard wiring. It can take a long time to recover.
