Not so long ago, women at the wheel were so rare that a stereotype was firmly established in society that a woman and a car were incompatible concepts. The image of a motorist was so closely associated with the male sex that women still have a difficult time on the roads. Each of them must not only master driving a car, but also prove to the people around her, and most importantly to herself, that she is an equal participant in the road traffic, like everyone else.
Instructions
Step 1
If you decide to get behind the wheel, you will need someone to train you. No one has yet been born with ready-made licenses and driving skills, so there is nothing shameful in studying. You can hire a private instructor, but you can only ride with him on a fenced area, because travel to the city without a license is strictly prohibited by law. Only the driving school remains.
Step 2
Choose a driving school that really teaches you how to drive. It is better to pay more, but there will be much more sense from an instructor who will ride with you 50 hours or more on busy roads, in traffic jams, teach you how to assess the traffic situation, than from driving with you along quiet streets in third gear for 15-20 hours and solemnly announcing that you now know how to ride.
Step 3
It is quite possible for a woman to learn to drive a car and get a license. But on the very first day, many of them make the fatal mistake of getting behind the wheel and putting their husbands in the passenger seat. Rarely does a man remember the times when he himself was a beginner. He knows for sure that he drove right immediately and never made mistakes. The most persistent of them are able to silently survive your second or even third mistake (and nobody managed to avoid them in the first year of driving), while the rest just start yelling. They shout, not hearing themselves, some begin to nervously grab the steering wheel or gearbox. Therefore, start driving on your own and without witnesses.
Step 4
You can take your husband, friends, relatives and children with you as passengers only with the agreement that they will sit silently and will not interfere with you watching the road.
Step 5
It often happens that having received a license, a woman puts them in the far drawer of the table and forgets for a year, five, or even ten. She panics at the thought that she needs to get behind the wheel. This state can last as long as you like, do not succumb to it. Since you already have a license, you can go on the road. This is where private instructor lessons come in handy. It is good if it is a female instructor, but there are also quite adequate mentors among men. Ride with an instructor on the roads you have to drive on your own. Gradually expand your travel radius. Decide on independent excursions. Drive as often as possible, and over time you will experience experience, without which, alas, you cannot become a driver.
Step 6
So step over yourself, over your fears, over masculine distrust, get behind the wheel and go.
