According to clause 2.6 of the Traffic Regulations of the Russian Federation - if no one was injured as a result of the accident, then the drivers, with mutual agreement in assessing the incident, can independently draw up an accident scheme and register the incident at the nearest traffic police department. The scheme should be drawn up qualitatively and reflect all the circumstances of the incident.
Instructions
Step 1
The scheme should be drawn with an ordinary ballpoint pen on a blank sheet of paper. First of all, you need to draw a section of the road on which the accident occurred, including road signs, traffic lights, nearby buildings, trees, etc.
Step 2
Cars involved in an accident must be drawn schematically, and it is necessary to indicate the brands of cars, the movement of cars before the accident is indicated by arrows. If as a result of an accident there are details related to the accident (wreckage of cars, objects that fell out of them, traces of braking, etc.), they should also be indicated on the diagram.
Step 3
Using a tape measure or folding ruler, measure the distances between vehicles, objects and footprints. In addition, each object must be tied to the terrain, for this you need to measure the distance to the nearest stationary object, for example, a pole. In the absence of gauges, a tow rope can be used.
Step 4
It is necessary to indicate the number of the nearest house, if the accident occurred on the highway, then the name of the nearest settlement and the kilometer on the nearest sign. After drawing up the scheme, the date and time of the accident are put down in it, the signatures of the participants in the accident are put. The road accident scheme does not allow any corrections.
Step 5
Having an accident scheme in hand, you can contact the traffic police, where, on its basis, all the necessary documents for insurance payments will be drawn up.
