Snowmobile "Buran" is a reliable and unpretentious vehicle for transporting people and goods through the snow. The design of the technical device ensures comfortable movement in forest conditions and good maneuverability. Ease of control, operation and maintenance of a snowmobile is largely determined by the simplicity of the device and the reliability of the ignition system.
Instructions
Step 2
Use the most common 5-wire ignition design when installing the ignition on your snowmobile. In this case, for connection, five switch leads are used, which are wires with terminals at the ends. Unlike a 6-pin switch, this design eliminates one control coil, which greatly simplifies the system.
Step 3
Mount the elements of the electronic ignition circuit in a separate housing, guided by the schematic diagram of the device.
Step 4
Connect the white wire of the commutator to the ground of the machine, that is, close it to the case. The switch will not be able to work without a high-quality ground connection. If there are six leads in the device, connect the two white wires together.
Step 5
Connect the blue wire of the switch through the ignition switch to the high-voltage transformer. Ground the second terminal of the transformer winding.
Step 6
Connect the red and black wires of the switch to the charging coil, they function as a charging voltage input. Include in the circuit between these terminals the "Stop" button and the emergency ignition switch.
Step 7
The remaining wire is yellow or (less commonly) green. Connect it to the control coil, also installed on the base of the ignition system.
Step 8
After connecting the leads, check the ignition system in operation. Crank the engine with an electric or recoil starter by running the flywheel with magnets. In this case, a changing magnetic field arises, creating an alternating voltage at the terminals of the coils. After the discharge of the capacitor, accompanied by the appearance of a spark, the engine starts up and starts to work.
