If you were offered to buy a Buran snowmobile at a bargain price, ask if there are any documents for it. If there is no passport for it, then you will face a number of difficulties during registration.
It is necessary
- - Statement of the owner;
- - contract of sale;
- - passport of a self-propelled vehicle;
- - receipt of payment of the applicable fees.
Instructions
Step 1
Complete training at Rostekhnadzor and get a tractor driver's license of category "A". This will allow you to legally drive off-road and self-propelled vehicles. Without such a certificate, the snowmobile will not be registered.
Step 2
Collect the necessary documents and pay the state fee. Snowmobile registration must take place within five days from the date of purchase. The authorized body is Gostekhnadzor. Please contact the office where you live. Snowmobiles also require an OSAGO policy. You must receive a certificate of state registration, a technical inspection coupon and numbers.
Step 3
Obtain a duplicate snowmobile passport if it is lost or unusable. Documents for unregistered equipment released after 1995 are issued by manufacturing enterprises, and for those imported into Russia after September 1, 2001 - by the customs authorities. In other cases, you should contact the Gostekhnadzor at the place of registration. Present the car for inspection and verification of unit numbers. Officials can refuse registration if there are no title deeds or a mismatch in numbers is found.
Step 4
Submit an application to Gostekhnadzor for registration of a snowmobile manufactured before September 1995. Attach a sales contract with another individual, a copy of his passport and pay the state duty. The snowmobile will be checked on the basis of the stolen equipment. After that, you must obtain a passport for a self-propelled vehicle.
Step 5
Try to get a snowmobile passport, assembled yourself from parts of other equipment or repaired with a change in design. The design of such structures is regulated by the Rules of State Registration of Tractors, Self-Propelled Road-Building and Other Machines and Trailers of January 16, 1995. These rules were approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Russian Federation.
Step 6
Go to court if you have problems with registration. The court can establish ownership. This may require an independent assessment.
