Many fans of active winter recreation are sure that there is no need to register snowmobiles at all. Meanwhile, these vehicles have been subject to compulsory registration for more than 15 years. If a traffic police officer finds you have an unregistered snowmobile, you will definitely be subject to administrative punishment.
It is necessary
- - application;
- - money;
- - documents for a snowmobile;
- - driver's license of category "A".
Instructions
Step 1
Unfortunately, snowmobile owners rarely comply with existing laws and regulations. Most often, these vehicles are used in uninhabited areas and in remote areas where it is unlikely to meet a traffic police representative. However, it is mandatory to register your snowmobile.
Before buying a snowmobile, you must obtain a category “A” (“motorcycles and off-road” motorcycles) driver's license. In the Gostekhnadzor body, you can obtain a tractor driver's license, which also gives the right to drive a snowmobile. Fans of active winter recreation neglect this law in most cases.
Step 2
To register a snowmobile, you must provide a package of documents to the local authority of Gostekhnadzor, and this must be done within 5 days after purchasing the vehicle. Before submitting the document, you must pay the state fee. This package includes the following documents:
1. A Snowmobile Purchase Agreement or Invoice Certificate;
2. statement of the owner according to the established model;
3. receipt of payment of state duty;
4. technical passport of the snowmobile. After submitting the documents, you will receive a license plate, a certificate of technical inspection and a certificate of state registration.
5. Certificate for the right to drive a snowmobile.
