Before entering the track for the first time, you must make sure that the braking system is in good working order, as well as that the direction indicators and sound signal of any vehicle are working properly. You should also check the tightness of the visible side connections and, if necessary, tighten them. The safety of all road users will depend on this, so the annual bleeding of your motorcycle is very important.

It is necessary

  • - rubber or plastic hoses;
  • - screwdriver;
  • - a small adjustable wrench;
  • - a container made of any material, liter volume;
  • - 1 bottle of new brake fluid.

Instructions

Step 1

Bleeding the motorcycle braking system begins with changing the oil in the motorcycle shock absorbers. On Japanese motorcycles there is usually a DOT4 type fluid, perhaps your motorcycle will have a DOT3 type fluid. Before bleeding the motorcycle, determine what fluid is in the shock absorbers by reading the inscription on the brake fluid expansion tank.

Step 2

Begin changing the used brake fluid from the front brake circuit. Pour 1-2 cm of brake fluid into a glass jar, then open the expansion tank. Then put on the fitting from one end of the tube, and lower the other end into the jar.

Step 3

Use the front brake lever to expel the used fluid into a container, gradually pouring new fluid into the expansion tank of the motorcycle. Continue the procedure until the appearance of air bubbles stops and fresh brake fluid flows into the jar. Then close the cover of the expansion tank. Follow the procedure for bleeding the rear shock absorbers in the same way.

Step 4

To bleed the motorcycle engine, remove and disassemble it. Fasten rings in the engine crankcase to reduce the diameter of the chamber.

Step 5

Replace the oil seals with new ones so that they can withstand high pressure. Do the same with the old carburetor. Then saw through the cylinder purge windows.

Step 6

Increase engine inflation. To do this, lengthen the intake pipe and branch pipe from the cylinder bore to the carburetor itself. Choose a tube with a diameter of at least 40 millimeters.

Step 7

To replace the spark plugs, unscrew the bolts holding the gas tank and lift it up. Next, pull out all hoses from the air filter box, as well as the sensor wires. Then unscrew the bolts on the clamps with a long screwdriver.

Step 8

Carefully disconnect the induction coil connectors from the plug caps and remove the caps. Unscrew the old candles, vacuum the space, as everything should be clean next to the candles. Screw in new candles, wires and hoses, put them in their places. Tighten all screws carefully so as not to rip the threads.
