The rear lights of a car include a brake light (braking), a reversing light, a side light and a turn signal. Structurally, the rear lights consist of a diffuser cover, a plate with lamp holders and a reflector. The methods of attaching the rear lights to the body on different car brands differ from each other. Consider removing the rear lights and replacing lamps using the example of the classic VAZ model.

Tubular key "8", new bulb

Instructions

Step 1

First, open the trunk. The cover of the rear light diffuser on the "classic" is attached to the body through a rubber gasket (seal) to the reflector with four nuts on the studs of the cover itself, so the lamp unit can be removed only from the trunk.

Step 2

Remove the protective cover of the lights. To do this, unscrew the two plastic nuts securing the casing.

Step 3

Next, do not forget to disconnect the chip with wires from the board contacts, having previously de-energized the car (by disconnecting the battery terminals).

Step 4

Then unscrew the four nuts that secure the reflector to the diffuser cover. Use a pipe wrench "8".

Step 5

After that, carefully release the board with lamp holders from the plastic clips (usually six clips hold the board in place and protect it from vibration).

Step 6

Carefully remove the lamp board. Remove the lamp to be replaced from the holder. To do this, manually or using a screwdriver, release it from the plastic clips that press its contact to the board (usually three such clips are used on cars).

Step 7

Place the new lamp in place of the old one, securely securing it with the clips.
