The new modification of the Russian Lada has acquired the unusual name XRAY and the same unconventional appearance, which is much different from all the past creations of AvtoVAZ.
The initial version of the new Russian crossover was the XRAY Concept, which was shown to the general public back in 2012. A completely new concept of a domestic car made a huge impression on the car enthusiast community with a very interesting design, similar to the exterior from the future.
In the final version of 2015, the crossover has changed in size - reduced, and in outline - simplified. It is now classified as a tall hatchback. Since December last year, the new car has been mass-produced and a gradual quantitative increase has been planned. For Russian car consumers, the Lada XRAY is still not a very unraveled puzzle, although they already have the results of the test drives of the new model of the domestic auto industry at their disposal.
Appearance of Lada XRAY
As noted above, the exterior of the five-door XRAY, in comparison with its neighbors on the car site, has been replenished with many stylish elements:
• modern optical system with LED lines, • radiator trim with chrome plating, reminiscent of the "X" sign, • stylish bumper, protected from below by plastic, • additional optics of a boomerang-shaped form, • stamping on the lateral sides in the form of diverging rays.
Salon Lada XRAY
The interior equipment of the new car cannot be called luxurious. But its functionality, quality of finish, comfort and minimalism in the elements make the salon quite comfortable and modern. The installation of an on-board computer with touch control has improved the controllability of the car, due to the receipt of timely information on the screen, and the comfort for the driver. The trunk is very practical, the capacity of which doubles when the rear seats are folded.
Specifications
At present, the compact crossover Lada XRAY works only on a front-wheel drive transmission. In the near future, manufacturers are planning to equip the car with all-wheel drive. Customers are offered a choice of seven types of configuration with three options for gasoline engines and "mechanics" in gear shifting. Engine with a maximum power of 123 hp equipped with a novelty - a robotic mechanical box. The starting price is 589 thousand rubles.
