Recently, rumors about the preparation for the presentation by BMW of its 1-series sedan are not unfounded. The car has already been spotted in engineering tests and is gathering intrigue around itself.

The exterior immediately recognizes the traditional style of the Bavarians. In a camouflaged state, the car appears to be slightly smaller than the 3 Series models. Particularly eye-catching is the boot lid, which is located well above the bonnet.

The modification is based on a front-wheel drive layout. This was achieved through the use of the new UKL architecture, which is integrated into the base of the Cooper-Hardtop model from the MINI brand. In the future, the Bavarians are considering the possibility of using this architecture on at least seven of their models.

The engine lineup promises to be identical to the lineup for the 2 Series, called the "Active Tourer". There are both three and four-cylinder engines here. There will also appear a "charged" version under the "125i" index, capable of flaunting a performance of 231 "strength".

All-wheel drive options are now actively being considered by the manufacturer. The sports M-version, which will be endowed, according to the expectations of experts, with a 300-horsepower "heart" also with four cylinders and supercharging, will not bypass this series. Thanks to the flexibility of the mentioned platform for the car, it will be possible to install a six-cylinder unit in the future, but this is still rumor. In the vastness of the domestic market, the model promises to appear no earlier than the middle of the year.
