Until recently, LEDs were installed only in turning headlights or on car brake lights. Currently, such samples are already being produced that are practically not inferior to incandescent lamps. You can also improve the lighting system of your car yourself.

Instructions

Step 1

You can even install LED headlights on your car yourself. A slight difficulty in connecting such headlights is that they are not powered directly (from a 12V battery), but through a current limiter (resistor and diode). Here the capacitor and the diode perform a protective function, and the resistors limit the current (up to the LED rating). If you want to make a more perfect limiter, then assemble it using LM317 microcircuits.

Step 2

In these circuits, the brightness of the LEDs depends little on the battery voltage. These circuits can work both in a motorcycle headlight with a 6-volt battery, and in a 12-volt car headlight. If you change the resistance value of the resistor by 1 Ohm, then accordingly change the current that passes through the LEDs, and therefore the brightness. If you do not have enough bright LEDs for your headlights, then just make the lights in your headlights.

Step 3

So in headlights, where the number of LEDs is 24 pieces, the brightness of the module is 40 Cd, the luminous flux is 400 lm. Unlike other types of headlights, LED headlights have a very long service life, moreover, they consume three times less energy than incandescent lamps, have an increased light emitting flux and a bright light. They have no heating elements. All of the above allows you to keep the optics and elements of the car in good condition, since there is no large heat release, which is the case with standard incandescent lamps.
