Unfortunately, the presence of a garage is not a guarantee of the safety of your property. This, however, does not mean that there is no benefit at all from it. You just need to do everything to prevent the possibility of hacking. Try to identify and strengthen any weak points in your garage.
Instructions
Step 1
Monolithic reinforced concrete garages are considered the most reliable. Breaking through such a wall is not easy. And it is absolutely impossible to do this silently. Brick garages are more vulnerable. The wall made of silicate blocks can be disassembled. The visor of a brick structure is an additional risk zone. It is better to refuse it altogether. Attach the ceiling slabs to the door frame. In addition, it is desirable that the brick garage has a recessed foundation, and the floor is concreted with reinforcing mesh. This will save him from undermining. Despite the fact that this method of penetration is time-consuming and not always effective, it is nevertheless used quite often.
Step 2
Sectional metal garages are the most unreliable. Anyway, try to strengthen it as much as possible. Concrete the foundation. Reinforce the structure from the inside by welding additional steel reinforcement to the roof, gates and walls.
Step 3
Breaking locks is the most common way to enter any type of garage. It is undesirable to use padlocks. Plucking them is very easy. It is better to use two locks located approximately 30 cm from each other - one external, with a hidden rod, the second - a consignment note with a good level of secrecy. It must be opened with a key even from the inside.
Step 4
Another vulnerable spot is the garage door. It is desirable that they are made of 2 steel sheets with an asbestos gasket between them. When installing, use internal end or bearing hinges. It is quite difficult to cut them off by autogenous. Gate leaves should not have gaps and handles. It is advisable to install a powerful corner around their perimeter. The hinges must be welded securely as the heads of the bolts can be easily cut off with a conventional chisel. Weld metal rods at the ends of the gate, which, when closed, would go into special holes. The gate will stay in place even if the hinges are cut off.
Step 5
It should be noted, however, that the most effective way to protect your garage is to install an alarm.
