Instructions

Step 1

Prepare a set of wrenches and a separate wrench for the nuts that secure the pipeline. After that, using a tool, unscrew the nut that secures the pipeline to the adapter located on the working cylinder. Gently hold the adapter with the second key to prevent it from turning.

Step 2

Lightly squeeze the clamp legs with pliers to loosen the fastening. Then slide it along the hose. At this time, disconnect the hose from the tank. From the section for the hydraulic drive, which is responsible for disengaging the clutch, pour the fluid into a previously prepared canister or any other container. Remember that the reservoir is common to the master cylinders and has a baffle for each hydraulic system.

Step 3

Unscrew the union and carefully move the hose to the side. Be careful not to lose the copper sealing washers that are fitted to the hose end at both ends. At the same time, inspect them for damage and deformation. Replace them if necessary.

Step 4

Find the spring clip in the passenger compartment under the dashboard, which serves for the pusher of the master cylinder, and carefully remove it. Be careful not to lose the rubber ring and wavy spring washer. After that, unscrew the nuts securing the master cylinder to the car body and carefully remove it. Inspect the cylinder flange that contains the gasket and replace if necessary.

Step 5

Install the new master cylinder upside-down. Connect all hoses and tubes. Remember to carefully check all parts for wear or damage before installation. After that, add fluid to the reservoir and remove air from the hydraulic drive system. Then test the clutch.
