The main difference between the new first-aid kit is a significant increase in the number of dressings and the removal of all medications from the composition. These changes are due to the fact that in the event of an accident, bleeding is the main problem, and the number of bandages in the old first-aid kit was not enough.
Additionally, the volume of the first aid course taught in driving schools is significantly increasing.
Medicines have been removed due to the fact that the first-aid kit is mainly used by people without medical education and who do not know how to use them correctly.
Also, the conditions for storing medicines are violated in the car, due to the strong heating of the car interior in summer and hypothermia in winter.

Changes in the composition of the car first aid kit entered into force on July 1, 2010, in accordance with paragraph 3 of the order of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation No. 697n of September 8, 2009 "On Amendments to the Order of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of the Russian Federation No. 325 dated 1996-20-08 g."

2. Non-sterile medical gauze bandage 5 * 5 - 2 pcs.
3. Non-sterile medical gauze bandage 5 * 10 - 2 pcs.
4. Non-sterile medical gauze bandage 7 * 14 - 1 pc.
5. Medical sterile gauze bandage 5 * 7 - 2 pcs.
6. Sterile medical gauze bandage 5 * 10 - 2 pcs.
7. Sterile medical gauze bandage 7 * 14 - 1 pc.
8. Sterile dressing bag - 1 pc.
9. Sterile medical gauze napkins - 1 pack.
10. Bactericidal adhesive plaster 4 * 10 cm - 2 pack.
11. Bactericidal adhesive plaster 1, 9 * 7, 5 cm - 10 pack.

The shelf life of a car first aid kit has been increased from 1.5 to 4.5 years.
Additionally, it is allowed to store medicines and medical products for personal use in the first-aid kit, prescribed by the attending physician or purchased independently and are on sale.
