Squeeze or not
A perfectly serviceable car without wear of components and mechanisms, in principle, can be started without pressing the clutch pedal in comfortable conditions. At subzero temperatures, if it's freezing outside, it is necessary to depress the pedal in any case.
If there are no special prerequisites for pressing the pedal, you do not need to press it. If you need to start the car normally, then it is better to squeeze the clutch.
