Disabling the injectors in the car is necessary when installing gas equipment. If you just turn off the petrol supply system, the electronic control unit (ECU) will recognize this action as a malfunction in the system and turn on the corresponding sensor. In this case, the engine can be transferred to emergency operation. To prevent this from happening, you need to do the following.

Necessary

  • - injector emulator;
  • - screwdriver.

Instructions

Step 1

Select and install an injector emulator. The name of this device speaks for itself. Emulation (English - emulation) means the reproduction by software or hardware of the operation of other programs or devices. The emulator is remarkable in that when it is installed, the electronic control unit does not recognize the shutdown of the petrol supply system, since this device sends signals that simulate the operation of the injectors. Therefore, the ECU considers that everything is in order and, accordingly, does not display an error message.

Step 2

When choosing an injector emulator, you must take into account the make of your car and the design of its power system. The cost of the device is low, and its installation is very easy to handle.

Step 3

Install the injector emulator in the engine compartment. When choosing a place for its attachment, keep in mind that the device must be protected from moisture and mechanical damage. In conditions of high humidity, the emulator connectors oxidize and do not hold contact well.

Step 4

Fix the injector emulator using the screws or screws supplied with it. The wiring harness from the device must not be taut to avoid breakage.

Step 5

Connect the emulator. The color of the wires for devices from different manufacturers may differ, however, the black wire is almost always connected to ground, the blue wire to the power supply of the gas solenoid valve. The rest of the wires go in pairs. The order of their connection to the nozzles is arbitrary.

Step 6

Choose a pair of wires to connect to one of the injectors - for example, green and black-green. Connect green to the injector using the connectors, and black-green to the control unit (ECU). They are fixed using connectors.

Step 7

In this way, connect all injectors to the emulator. A potentiometer is located near the connector on the device. Use it to set the injection deceleration time. The delay can be set from 0 to 5 seconds.
