Air trapped in the hydraulic brake drive system significantly reduces their effectiveness, which sometimes becomes the cause of a road accident. Due to the fact that the working cylinder, in the line of which there is an airlock, is not able to transmit the required force to the brake pads, while driving, the car, in the event of emergency braking, will not be able to avoid side skidding.

Necessary

  • - assistant,
  • - a key for bleeding the brakes,
  • - brake fluid,
  • - silicone or rubber tube - 0.5 m,
  • - a small container for draining the brake fluid.

Instructions

Step 1

When the first signs of uneven braking appear, the machine should be placed on a lift or inspection hole, then carefully inspect the brake system pipeline from below, as well as the inner wheel covers, for traces of brake fluid leakage.

Step 2

It is necessary to take into account that air cannot get into the hydraulic brake drive just like that. There must be a reason for this, and it must be found and eliminated.

Step 3

After that, the brake system is certainly pumped in order to remove air from it.

Step 4

The brake bleeding scheme is the same for all cars. The procedure begins from the farthest shoulder of the highway, that is, from the working brake cylinder of the right rear wheel. Then pumped: the left rear cylinder, the front - right, left, and the last is pumped through the hydraulic brake booster (if any).

Step 5

The technology for removing air from the hydraulic brake actuator is as follows:

Step 6

- the assistant is placed in the driver's seat and pumps fluid into the system by pressing the brake pedal, after it "rests", the assistant, holding it, informs the partner about it; - after receiving a signal from the assistant, the partner opens the union from below to bleed the working cylinder brakes, on which a tube is put on in advance, lowered into a plastic bottle of a small capacity (the outflowing brake fluid will contain air bubbles); - when the brake pedal "falls through", the assistant tells the partner to close the fitting, after which he pumps up the brakes again, and the procedure continues until there are no air bubbles in the flowing liquid.

Step 7

After removing air from one working cylinder, they start pumping the next one according to the scheme, and finish only when the air is completely removed from the hydraulic brake system.
