If you need to remove the taillight on your car in order to replace a burned out light bulb or completely replace the entire lamp, do not rush to go to a car service so as not to pay extra money for work that you can do yourself.
Instructions
Step 1
The taillights of almost any car are attached to the body according to the same principle: 2 or 4 studs attached to the body of the lamp are inserted into the holes in the body and tightened with nuts from the inside. In some cases, the lights can be fastened to the body with latches.
Step 2
To get to the nuts that fasten the lamp housing to the body, open the trunk of the car and carefully inspect the trim near the lamp. You should find a technological "window" in the skin just next to the lantern.
Step 3
Open the "window" and see how the lantern is attached to the body. After you determine the method of fastening, make sure that through the "window" you can reach the latches or nuts and release the fastener.
Step 4
If the "window" is too small, you will have to remove some of the casing to get to the torch mount with the right tool. To remove the trim you need to remove the clips that secure the trim to the body. Be careful not to damage the plastic fasteners.
Step 5
Having freed up space for yourself to work, unscrew the nuts that secure the flashlight (or release the latches) and, holding the flashlight with your hand from the outside, push it out. Chances are, the flashlight won't go easily, so make some effort. As a result of the right actions, you are guaranteed success.
