Installing a turbine on a VAZ is perhaps the most effective way to increase the engine power of a vehicle. Car owners also call this device a turbocharger. You can even install it on a VAZ at your home auto repair shop.

Necessary

  • - collector;
  • - inlet pipeline;
  • - intake pipe;
  • - sealant;
  • - turbine;
  • - a set of tools.

Instructions

Step 1

The sequence of installing a turbine on a VAZ depends on which motor is installed on the vehicle. If the engine is naturally aspirated, an additional reduction in the hermetic compression ratio will be required to install the turbine. To achieve this effect, install an original intake manifold on the vehicle.

Step 2

If the engine on VAZ cars is equipped with a low-pressure turbocharger, the installation of a turbine is simply necessary, because there is no other equally effective way to boost the engine. As a preparatory procedure prior to installing the turbocharger, install the intake manifold, upgrade the engine power system, and install the front exhaust pipe.

Step 3

Following this, carry out a set of works aimed at improving the lubrication, ventilation and crankcase cooling systems of an automobile engine. In other words, take a number of measures related to improving the technical characteristics of the internal combustion engine.

Step 4

Then install the turbine. To do this, remove the bumper and belt. Then dismantle the filter (you will no longer need it).

Step 5

To make it easier to install the turbine, remove the generator. Next, remove the heat shield and the exhaust manifold. Then drain the antifreeze and dismantle the pipe connecting the engine to the motor.

Step 6

Drain the oil, then carefully drill a hole in the engine housing and screw in the fitting. However, first apply a thin coat of sealant to the fitting. Next, remove the oil temperature indicator.

Step 7

The oil supply to the turbine is carried out using an adapter (it must be installed). Then install the heat shield (install this "part" on the hot part of the turbine), the intake manifold and the turbine itself. Then connect the treatment hose to the fitting and turbine, and install an external wastegate.

Step 8

Connect the ends of the silicone hose to the fitting. Cut this hose in two and connect it to the T-fitting. After that, install the intercooler and intake piping.
