The hood of a car often slams shut when the driver least expects it. On Audi cars, the hood also has the ability to close, which brings a lot of trouble.
Necessary
- - long screwdriver;
- - mount.
Instructions
Step 1
Determine the condition of the cable. If the cable is broken, then try to open the hood of the car by removing the turn signal. This can be done by first removing the spring. Insert a long screwdriver into the resulting hole, which should rest against the locking tongue. As soon as you feel that the goal is achieved, press on the tongue with enough force to open.
Step 2
Start the car on the overpass and remove the protective bottom panel by unscrewing the existing fasteners. Through an open opening, try to reach the locks and open them.
Step 3
With a whole cable, take a pry bar and try to gently hook the edge of the hood. Pull the cable out through the hole and pull it towards you, thereby opening the locks.
Step 4
Unscrew the existing bolts and remove the cover. Next, disconnect the cable from the hood opening lever by removing its sheath from the bracket. As soon as you take out the shell, begin to remove the lock so that you can disconnect the cable from the hood latches. At the end of the operation, remove the cable itself. This is a more complicated method to open the hood, but it works 100%. It involves removing the cover on the steering column.
