The operating condition of the vehicle and the correct start of its engine are directly dependent on the idle valve. Unfortunately, the idle valve gets dirty from time to time. The main reason for contamination of KXX is oil dust penetrating through the crankcase ventilation tube. How to clean the idle valve?
Necessary
- - key for 8;
- - cleaning agent;
- - screwdriver;
- - rags;
- - sealant
Instructions
Step 1
Loosen the clamps located on the air filter pipe and remove the air intake pipe. Disconnect the small throttle tube.
Step 2
Loosen the nut and disconnect the gas pedal cable from the throttle actuator.
Step 3
Move the clamp to the side and disconnect the coolant supply pipe from the KXX. Remove the throttle valve by unscrewing the mounting bolts, and disconnect the second antifreeze pipe from the valve. Check that the coolant leak has stopped. It is recommended to carry out this procedure at low temperature and pressure in the cooling system. This will minimize the loss of antifreeze and avoid burns.
Step 4
Disconnect the idle valve from the throttle valve. Rinse all parts thoroughly with a special cleaning agent. Suitable, for example, WD-40, or any other liquid of similar composition. To do this, remove the rubber seal and direct the spray from the aerosol can onto the idle valve parts. Sprinkle liquid on all elements liberally. Wait 10-15 minutes. Repeat the treatment, wiping heavily soiled areas with a rag.
Step 5
Dry all parts thoroughly and reassemble in reverse order. Seal the joints of the body with the valves with a special sealant. This is to avoid unwanted air leaks, which can lead to problems with starting. Connect all hoses and connectors. Try to set the adjusting screw in the same position as it was originally. Check the level of antifreeze. Add coolant if necessary.
