After all, only about 200 countries of the world are allowed to travel around their country by car with a national driver's license, and in the rest they trust only international driver's licenses. So how do you get these very international rights, which make it possible to freely travel to different countries?

Step 1
An International Driving License (IDL) is a book of eight white and four color pages. The certificate is issued in 5 official UN languages - English, Russian, French, Spanish, Chinese, as well as seven additional languages - Italian, German, Ukrainian, Japanese, Korean and Greek. In some countries, you can use these rights as proof of identity. Upon their presentation, you can easily rent a hotel, as well as use for transactions with a credit card.
Step 2
International rights are issued for a period of 3 years. However, it must be clarified that they are valid no longer than Russian rights. So if, for example, in a year your Russian rights expire, then exactly the same amount remains international. You can issue an IDP at any traffic police department at the place of registration. The registration procedure will take you a minimum of time. Retaking the exam is not required. You must provide the inspection with a list of documents, most of which you already have and there is no need to wait until they are ready.
Step 3
So, first of all, you write an application, the form of which will be given to you by the traffic police. You will also need a Russian driver's license, passport or other identity document. In addition, you must provide a medical certificate of fitness for driving, two photographs 3, 5 x 4, 5 cm, preferably on matte paper, as well as a receipt for payment of the state duty. You can find out the amount of the fee at the inspection or on the department's website. Also, in some cases, a driver's card is required, confirming your eligibility for any category and your training in a driving school.
Step 4
Remember that an international driving license cannot replace a driving license in Russia. In other countries, the license will be valid only with a national driving license.
