To learn how to drive a motorcycle and be able to legally ride it on public roads, you need to learn a category A license. In large cities there are no problems with motorcycle schools, and in small cities they are absent, since they are not in demand. They get out of the situation with the help of self-study or by negotiating private lessons.

Step 1
It is necessary to learn to drive a motorcycle on the grass or on a dirt site so that it does not hurt to fall. A light and open model is better suited as a helmet. There is a throttle grip on the right handlebar: when you turn the throttle towards yourself, the handbrake lever is also added. The red button is for emergency shutdown of the motor. Slightly below are the lighting control buttons and the starter button. On the left handle there is a clutch lever, switches for headlights, turn signals and a horn button.
Step 2
The gear lever is located near the left foot. If it is single-shoulder, the first gear is engaged by pressing forward and down, the rest of the gears - by lifting up. The two-arm lever is lifted up by pressing the back of the lever with the heel. Both levers are equally comfortable. The brake pedal is located under the right foot.
Step 3
Start the engine. On injection motorcycles, this requires turning the ignition key and pressing the starter button. On carburetor, first open the gas tap (if not automatic). A green light should come on on the instrument panel, indicating that the gear is in neutral. The oil pressure lamp should also light up and go out.
Step 4
Remove the kickstand, depress the clutch and engage first gear. Smoothly letting go of the clutch and gradually adding throttle, start driving. The principle of control is the same as on a car, only you need to remember about balance. In the first lessons, learn to drive and maneuver in first and second gear without over-accelerating.
Step 5
Gear shifting is the same as on a car: acceleration, clutch release, shifting, smooth clutch release. The differences are small: if you look for a gear for a long time, the revs can drop dramatically. If you try to turn her on, the motorcycle will jerk violently, leading to a fall. The way out is to monitor the revs: if they fall, first add gas, then turn on the gear.
Step 6
Before cornering, slow down slightly and go around the corner by tilting the motorcycle inward. As soon as the motorcycle is in the corner, you can add a little throttle. Never brake or change gears when cornering. If the motorcycle does not fit into a turn, tilt it a little more. The tilt of the body should be the same as the tilt of the motorcycle.
Step 7
In order to brake correctly, in all cases, you must use both the hand and foot brakes at once. Braking with only the rear brake can knock the rear wheel into a skid and lead to a fall. Braking with only the front brake threatens to overturn over the steering wheel. Under no circumstances should you brake in corners. If there is a dangerous area ahead, try to brake in front of it, not on it.
