Step 1

It is not only during an accident that a motorcycle can fall. Too soft and loose ground, not setting the footboard out of forgetfulness or in a hurry can also lead to the fact that the two-wheeled vehicle will be on the ground. The main thing in this case is not to panic and not to rush. First of all, stop the engine, and if the motorcycle falls on its right side, set the footrest in advance (it will prevent the possibility of falling to the other side during lifting).

Step 2

The easiest way to lift the motorcycle is with your back to it. Turn the handlebars so that the front wheel rests on the ground, sit on the saddle, grip the handlebar grip with one hand, and the other hand on any sturdy element in the rear of the motorcycle (rear bag holder, trunk frame, passenger handle, etc.)

Step 3

Legs should be apart and slightly bent (at an angle greater than 90º), feet should be firmly resting on the ground. Keeping your back straight will help reduce the strain on your back. Begin to step back gently, combining this with increasing pressure on the motorcycle saddle. At the same time, your body plays the role of a kind of jack.

Control the angle of the motorcycle. Be especially careful at the moment when it levels out so that you do not overturn it on the opposite side with excessive force.

If you have lifted a motorcycle that is lying on its left side, be sure to place it on the footrest.

If light motorcycles fall, you can use another method. Stand with your face to the motorcycle, turn the handlebars to point the front wheel up.

Squat as close to the handlebar as possible and grasp it firmly. Start lifting, focusing on your feet, in no case try to lift it with a jerk behind the steering wheel from above. In this way, you reduce the load on your back to a minimum.

The closer the motorcycle is to the final alignment, the easier it will be to lift. At these moments, do not make sudden movements - excessive force can overturn the technique on the other side.
