Additional headlights are fog and high beam headlamps. Their installation is sometimes necessary to improve the visibility of the road in difficult weather conditions, which increases traffic safety.
Instructions
Step 1
When installing, remember that the headlights that you will be installing should not interfere with air access to the radiator and should not protrude beyond the dimensions of the car. Try to install them symmetrically relative to each other. Do not place your fog lights higher than the dipped beam. Prepare a ruler, pliers, screwdrivers, and wrenches. You also need a drill and drill set.
Step 2
Open the headlamp housing and remove the optical element. This will prevent you from damaging the lamp itself and the glass. Carefully mark the symmetrical spots, select them on the surface of the bumper and drill the holes. Treat the holes with an anticorrosive solution. Attach the headlight housings.
Step 3
Install the relay with contacts down, to exclude water ingress, in any convenient place. Remove the dashboard switch blank and install the switch. Now it's all about the correct connection of additional headlights. First, disconnect the positive terminal of the battery for safety.
Step 4
Lay and connect the wires according to the diagram. Use wires of the same gauge, crimp the ends carefully and check that the connections are secure. Install the halogen lamp into the optical element. Remember that it is forbidden to touch the bulb with your fingers - this will cause the appearance of greasy spots on it. Hold it by the base with gloves or a cloth. If you accidentally stain the lamp, clean it with a piece of cloth and rubbing alcohol.
Step 5
After that, connect the wires to the lamp and insert the optical element in its place. Adjust your headlights and keep them clean as dirt absorbs enough light. Do not wash the headlights with water or snow during or immediately after operation, as this may cause cracks. Always try to keep spare lamps and fuses in case of malfunctioning.
