Electric locomotives are designed for use on railways with a track gauge of about 1520 mm. They are electrified on direct current, have a nominal voltage in the contact network of 3000 V. The traction parameters of electric locomotives allow driving long-section passenger trains. All equipment of the electric locomotive works reliably when the voltage in the contact wires fluctuates from 2200 V to 4000 V, as well as at an ambient temperature from -50 to +40 degrees.

Instructions

Step 1

Before starting the electric locomotive, turn on the ALSN, the radio station and other relevant devices that are necessary for the operation of the electric locomotive, test the action of the brakes. To increase the reliability of the louver drive, keep the louver open at all times in normal weather conditions. In case of heavy rain or snow, turn the switch number 359 on the control panel to the “Automatic” mark to activate the automatic closing or opening of the blinds.

Step 2

Set the speed of rotation of the motor-fan for cooling the traction electric motors depending on the season (in summer, set a higher speed, in winter, respectively, lower).

Step 3

Before the locomotive moves, make sure that the brake system is disengaged and the warning light 670 is off. Place the No. 395 driver's valve handle in position 1 to increase the pressure in the brake line. Press the auxiliary brake valve release valve number 254 to ensure a smooth start-off of the electric locomotive.

Step 4

For these purposes, put the steering wheel of the driver's controller (CME) in the "+1" position. Then smoothly move the steering wheel along the markings to the "C" position, which is necessary to enter the running position of the traction motors connection. Observe the position of the intermediate controller by the signal lamp 854. The current in the power circuit during acceleration of the electric locomotive should not exceed 850 amperes. While driving, observe the load current of the traction electric motors: it should not exceed 545 amperes. The voltage in the contact network should be no more than 2200 volts.

Step 5

Pay special attention to warning lights, which are responsible for various damage and slippage. Observe that the warning lamps of the running motor-compressor are on.
