Renault Logan uses block headlights, which combine low and high beam lamps, as well as direction indicators. At the same time, replacing any of the lamps is more convenient and faster when the headlight is removed.
Instructions
Step 1
Before carrying out work, disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the storage battery. After that, remove the headlamp unit by unscrewing the corresponding screws of its fastening. Then detach the headlamp cover and disengage the catch. Fold it down and take out the headlight bulb.
Step 2
Be careful not to touch it with your hands when installing a new lamp to avoid greasy stains on the bulb. This contamination can cause darkening of the bulb and its premature failure. Therefore, carry out all work with gloves or keep the lamp with a clean cloth. If unwanted stains appear, remove them immediately with an alcohol-based liquid.
Step 3
After installing the new lamp, fix it with the holder and replace the cover. To replace the side light bulb, turn the socket together with the bulb and pull it out. Then remove the lamp from the socket and install a new one. Then insert the chuck into place and lock it by turning it until it stops.
Step 4
Replace the direction indicator lamp in the same way: remove the socket, then the lamp from it and insert it back. Replacing any of the lamps in the taillight is carried out in the same way. To do this, remove the rear lamp and detach its rear cover together with the cartridges. Then select the lamp to be replaced.
Step 5
Press down on the lamp while turning it counterclockwise. Then remove it from the chuck. Be careful when installing a new lamp, make sure that its protrusions are clearly aligned with the slots in the socket. After that, make the final fixation by turning it all the way clockwise in the headlights, it must be done with the wire disconnected from the battery terminal, otherwise you risk getting an electric shock.
