Step 1
Before starting to dismantle the fuel filter, it is necessary to de-energize the on-board electrical system by disconnecting the ground cable from the battery. Then carefully unscrew the fuel lines from the filter housing. Remember that fuel in injection vehicles, in the power supply system, is under constant pressure.
Step 2
Unscrew the clamp of the bracket for attaching the fuel filter to the car body and remove the clogged filter element.
Step 3
Regardless of the condition of the old sealing, rubber cuffs of the fuel lines, do not hesitate to replace them too. The adage "a cheapskate pays twice" is most relevant in this case.
When installing a new fuel filter in the power supply system of a VAZ car, pay attention to the arrow on the filter housing, showing the direction of gasoline flow through it. Accordingly, it is installed in the power supply system.
