Of course, the imported limousine is not very suitable for making a voyage, which cannot be said about the SUV of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant. And if the UAZ is still equipped with a winch, then it is difficult for such a car to compete, for example, in the vastness of the Siberian taiga.

Step 1
In order to turn a domestic SUV into a real all-terrain vehicle, it is necessary to initially purchase a winch and retrofit the car with it. The trade has a wide range of similar car accessories, the choice of a particular winch depends on the purpose of its operation.

The delivery set contains everything necessary for the installation of additional equipment, as well as detailed instructions for installing the winch on the car. But it is necessary to focus the attention of auto extremes on several points.
Step 3
Firstly, even before the start of installation work, it is necessary to determine the place for the optimal placement of auxiliary equipment, taking into account the factors of future extreme operation. The best place to install the winch is at the front bumper. At this stage, the question is: how exactly should it be placed - above or below the bumper? Most daredevils prefer the bottom placement option.
Step 4
Secondly, having decided on the option for placing the winch, you need to find out the technical condition of the bumper itself. Will he be able to withstand the expected loads? In order not to guess on the coffee grounds, take note of the following: the bumper is reinforced with additional overlays made of metal plates, the locations of which are determined based on the design features of specific equipment.
Step 5
The least costly and along with this the most durable design will be the option of replacing the standard front bumper with a homemade one made from a section of a channel with a width of 80 mm.

Further, according to the template supplied with the winch, a platform is made for its attachment above or below the bumper. To make a template, a metal plate with a thickness of at least 5 mm is used, which is processed with a grinder ("grinder"), and holes are made in it with a drill.
Step 7
The finished platform is welded to the bumper and a winch is mounted on it. In those cases when equipment with an electric drive is installed on the car, at the last stage, the winch control panel is connected to the on-board network of the machine.
