Recovering a lost driver's license is a very long and troublesome process. To speed up the process of obtaining new rights, you need to collect all the necessary documents as soon as possible and contact the traffic police department.
It is necessary
- - driver's examination card;
- - passport;
- - 2 photos 3x4;
- - medical certificate;
- - a photocopy of the medical certificate;
- - a receipt for payment of the state tax for a new driver's license;
- - statement about the loss of a driver's license;
- - explanatory with a description of the circumstances of the loss of the certificate, or a certificate from the police.
Instructions
Step 1
First, make sure that the driver's license is really lost, that you have not forgotten it with friends or relatives, did not transfer it to a new bag, etc. The fact is that even if you find your driver's license after submitting an application to the traffic police, it will still be prohibited to use them. Unfortunately, often people have to spend a lot of time, money and effort to restore a document that they have not even lost.
Step 2
Consider whether your rights have been lost or stolen. In the event that you know that the driver's license was stolen, moreover, you guess where and when it happened, it makes sense to file a report with the police. For example, suppose you put your driver's statement in your jacket pocket and left your jacket in the locker room at work. When you put on your jacket in the evening and began looking for documents, you did not find them. The theft is obvious, and it is quite possible to find the criminal, because a limited number of people have access to the locker room. In this case, it is likely that the police will soon find your driver's license and return it to you.
Step 3
Make sure you have no outstanding fines. Otherwise, pay them as soon as possible: the debtors will not be issued a new certificate. You can find out if you have unpaid fines, how and where they need to be paid at the traffic police department.
Step 4
Immediately after discovering the loss, go to the traffic police department. Note: It is strictly forbidden to drive a car without a driver's license, so either ask someone to drive you, or opt for public transport or taxis. You will need the following documents: examination card, passport, 2 photos 3x4, medical certificate and its photocopy (form No. 083 / y-89), receipt of payment of state duty, application. If you have lost your license, then you also need to write an explanation with a detailed story about the circumstances of the loss. If you are sure that a theft has occurred, attach a certificate of initiation of a criminal case, or of a refusal to initiate it.
Step 5
Write an application for a temporary certificate. Such a certificate is issued for a period of 2 months and allows the driver to use the car until a new driver's license is issued to him. This must be done, since it usually takes a long time to recover a lost document.
