You can get numbers for a car when it is registered with the traffic police. Specialized car services available in large cities can help in replacing damaged numbers. If the license plates are lost, or at least one of them, the car will have to be re-registered with the receipt of new license plates.
It is necessary
- - passport;
- - registration certificate for the car;
- - car registration certificate;
- - a coupon from the police about accepting an application for the sale of numbers, if they are stolen or lost;
- - receipts for payment of state fees;
- - power of attorney for the car (if any).
Instructions
Step 1
As soon as you see that the license plate is not there, immediately contact the nearest police station to the police officer on duty and write a statement about the loss. The numbers will be put on the wanted list. And if they are found on another car involved in one or another criminal episode, there will be no questions for you.
The police will give you a receipt for the acceptance of the application, indicating the fact of the loss of the number or numbers.
Step 2
Fill out an application for registration of a vehicle. Its form can be taken from the MREO of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate or downloaded from the website of the regional UGIBDD. At the latter, you can also make an appointment to see the available hours and dates.
Enter the application to the district traffic police department to put a mark on it that the license plates have not been seized from you.
It is better to check the opening hours on this matter before making an appointment, as times may be limited to certain hours and days of the week.
You can also make an appointment by phone.
Step 3
You can download receipts for paying the necessary state fees on the website of the regional traffic police and pay at Sberbank or through the terminal in the building of the MREO.
We'll have to fork out for new license plates, a new vehicle registration certificate and changes to the registration certificate.
Step 4
On the appointed day, deliver the car to the inspection site and go through it. To do this, you need to have a passport, registration certificate for the car and an application for registration with you.
Step 5
Upon completion of the inspection, submit your passport, registration certificate for the car, registration certificate, OSAGO policy, application and coupon from the police about accepting an application for missing numbers, power of attorney, if available, in a special window (or office) and wait until you are called to receive ready numbers.
Do not forget to also make changes to the relevant documents: a pass to the garage or parking lot, a power of attorney for a car, if available, an OSAGO policy.
