A car is not an ordinary product, its purchase must be done correctly, observing all existing laws. This is especially true for cars imported from abroad. To safely enter Russia by car from Belarus, you need to follow certain rules.
Instructions
Step 1
An individual who is a citizen of Russia can, without customs payments, export from Belarus cars that were produced in this country or imported there at the rates of the Customs Union. The machine must necessarily comply with environmental safety class 4 (EURO4). This is necessary in order to freely receive the title of the vehicle at the place of registration.
Step 2
The body that issued the EURO 4 certificate must have the appropriate accreditation. The basis for issuing this paper is the documents that you received from a citizen of Belarus - the previous owner of the car. If there is no such certificate, you need a document confirming the conversion or retrofitting of your car to the required class 4 standards. The document can also be issued on the basis of the information contained in the vehicle type approval database.
Step 3
To obtain the coveted PTS, you also need an "Expert opinion on the technical parameters of the vehicle", "Certificate of the safety and reliability of the vehicle structure." These documents are not always required at customs, but it is necessary to stock up on them in order to avoid complications and problems with the export of the car.
Step 4
At almost all customs offices, the procedure for obtaining a passport for a technical device (PTS) is the same. But it never hurts to find out in advance about the order at the customs office, where you will register the car. Ask what documents you are obliged to collect, how long it will take to issue a TCP. Name the brand of the vehicle, year of manufacture.
Step 5
When buying a car, carefully check the body and engine numbers with those stated in the document. Request information about the car in the database of the "State Customs Committee of Belarus". At customs, you will be required to match each "squiggle".
Step 6
The organization must notify you of the receipt of the TCP within thirty days after the submission of the package of documents. If this does not happen, make a written request to the customs address with a request to issue a passport.
