Instructions

Step 1

Notify the customs authorities in writing that you are going to import a car from Ukraine. At the same time, this must be done in advance, a few days before the car is imported.

Get your bond receipt. Such actions require the customs authorities to do so that they are confident in your intentions.

Step 2

Deposit a deposit to the account of the MATP (Moscow Motor Transport Customs Post) or to the account of the MOATP (Moscow Regional Motor Transport Customs Post). At the same time, you need to know that the funds paid as collateral will subsequently be taken into account when paying all customs duties and fees when registering a car. The total amount of such fees depends on the vehicle (truck, passenger) and its technical characteristics. If you change your mind to import the car, the funds paid as a deposit can be claimed back by submitting a written application. Refunds will be processed by customs within three years.

Step 3

Bring the vehicle into the territory of the Russian Federation.

Deliver your car to the MOATP or MATP by arriving in advance at the customs post and getting in the queue.

Pay all customs fees.

Step 4

Identify your vehicle. Submit to the customs authorities a certificate of control over the delivery of the car, having appeared at the appointed time at the post for the car, which requires registration.

Step 5

Place the vehicle in a temporary storage warehouse, concluding an agreement with the customs authorities.

Step 6

Go through a car inspection with a customs inspector, who should reveal some information about the vehicle by inspecting it and the engine (year of manufacture, mileage, engine size, customs value, etc.).

If necessary, make an expert assessment of the car.

Step 7

Obtain a UHTS (certificate of temporary import of a vehicle) and a PTS (passport of a vehicle).

The car is cleared through customs, the vehicle is at the complete disposal of the owner, you can safely go on it to the regions of the country and not only.
