You can use the car on the basis of a rental agreement or a general power of attorney. When renting a car from an individual, conclude an appropriate agreement with a notary. Execute the general power of attorney in the same way.

Before registering a new car with the traffic police, pay the pension fund fee and the fee for the first registration of the vehicle. Depending on the price of the car, the pension fund tax rate ranges from 3 to 5 percent. The amount of the fee for the first registration of a vehicle depends on the size of its engine (except for electric vehicles). In Ukraine, the tax rate is determined as a flat amount charged for every 100 cc of engine displacement. For electric vehicles, it is 63 kopecks per 1 kW of engine power.
Step 5
Pay for the traffic police services related to car registration. This includes the fee for the issuance of a vehicle registration certificate and a new license plate, the cost of conducting examinations, etc. In total, you will need approximately 800 hryvnia.

Register your car with the traffic police. This must be done within 10 days from the date of purchase. When driving a car on the basis of a general power of attorney or a lease agreement with the traffic police, you do not need to re-register it.
Step 7
To register, submit the following documents: an application, a passport, an identification code, a sales contract, a certificate of account, an old vehicle registration certificate, a document confirming the removal of the car from the register, as well as receipts for payment of all necessary payments.
