Buying a car must be treated responsibly and take into account all the factors that can deny influence on your choice. We must not forget that a car is not an investment of money, but rather an expensive hobby. And it only depends on you whether it will be a joy or will weigh you down.

Buy on time

In light of the fall in the ruble, many are worried about the question: will there be a decrease in car prices and, perhaps, it is worth postponing the purchase. As history shows, before the crisis and the fall of the ruble, cars only become more expensive and quite significantly. After all, 90% of the cars sold in Russia are foreign cars. But even those that are assembled in Russia are assembled from imported components. The rise in the price of currencies will lead to an increase in customs duties, which cannot but affect production. Plus, sales of new cars are falling, and dealers have no choice but to raise prices for the installation of additional equipment and after-sales service.

Seize the moment

But used cars are not afraid of any financial crises. Their prices are going down very slowly.

A temporary drop in prices for new cars can be observed only at the end of the year, when dealers need to sell cars of the outgoing year of production. Promotions and discounts start from December and can last until February-March. Although it also happens that such cars are delayed until the summer. And you can ask for another price drop, because salons need to get rid of such cars faster and they will most likely meet you. But such an offer is interesting only to those buyers who plan to drive a car for at least five years, otherwise it is unprofitable to sell such a car.

Car on credit

A car loan is much more profitable than a consumer loan at an interest rate.

Another equally important question that worries most is whether it is worth getting involved with car loans. Today 80% of cars are bought on credit. You can buy a car even without a down payment or even with a mileage from a private person. Before you get caught up in credit bondage, answer some basic questions. Are you willing to pay at least three years monthly a certain amount of the loan. After all, at the same time, you will have to save money every month for compulsory CASCO insurance and maintenance.

You can use an example to consider how much you have to pay. Let's say you want to buy a Skoda Yeti for 780 thousand rubles. on credit for a period of three years with an initial payment of 450 thousand rubles. Add to this amount CASCO insurance from 30 to 40 thousand rubles. The monthly payment will be 15 thousand rubles. The first MOT will cost about 8 thousand. This means that insurance and maintenance will cost you another 50 thousand a year. And the amount from 15 will immediately grow to 19 thousand monthly payments (4 will have to be postponed). Overpayment for three years will be 210 thousand. And the cost of this car in a few years will not be more than 600 thousand. The benefit is dubious, but of course, it's up to you to decide.
