Almost every state strives to ensure maximum safety during the movement of citizens on the highways. A large number of states have long banned the use of mobile phones while driving, providing drivers with an alternative device in the form of a handsfree headset.
The initial impression may be that such adaptations are in fact an effective solution to the problem, since the driver's hands are freed during the conversation. But scientists at Dalhousie University in Canada, based on research, have proven that in fact everything happens completely differently. A telephone conversation or communication with an interlocutor is a difficult task that requires a person to think over their words and, as a result, to completely distract from driving a vehicle.
The results of the studies carried out proved the fears of scientists - a telephone conversation, regardless of how it is carried out, has a negative effect on the driver's attention, which is why the latter may simply not have time to perform the correct actions in the event of a sharp change in the situation on the road.
There are often cases when devices of this type are more dangerous even than just a phone, since most of the drivers, while talking on a mobile phone, try to reduce the speed of movement, or even stop the car on the side of the road, while when using a headset, they do nothing of the sort.
