Running in a new car is a responsible and demanding process, the need for which is based on logically grounded facts. For each new Priora, there are several specific rules for starting the operation process, on the observance of which the further life of the car depends.

The basic rule when running in is not to turn the new Prioru into a racing car and do not try to squeeze the maximum capabilities out of the engine and transmission during the first kilometers of the run. This is especially important in the first 1500 km of run. Avoid sharp accelerations and decelerations, jerks of the car, intensive acceleration from intersections. A fully depressed accelerator pedal is a gross violation of the running-in mode.
Step 2
Avoid running the engine at a constant speed for a long time. This is a general rule contained not only in the Priora operating instructions, but also in the instructions for expensive cars. This rule is equally true for both high and low revs. Hence the conclusion: avoid prolonged movement at the same speed during the break-in phase.
Step 3
During the running-in period, try to maintain optimal engine speed in the range from 2000 to 4000. Moreover, during the first 1500 km, do not spin the engine over 3000 rpm unnecessarily. Naturally, do not drive in high gear in the rpm range up to 2000 rpm. and do not accelerate Priora to speeds over 90-110 km / h, which corresponds to a crankshaft speed of 3500-4000 rpm.
Step 4
Do not let the engine idle for a long time. Experts classify this mode as severe operating conditions. Also, for the entire running-in period, forget about any engine braking, which creates increased loads on the main components and assemblies of the engine.
Step 5
In addition to the power unit, other elements of the new Priora also need special operating conditions during the first kilometers of run. For the first 500 km, avoid hard braking if possible to avoid shortening the brake lining life. Avoid harshly pressing and releasing the clutch pedal after shifting into gear. Do not apply too much force to the gear lever.
Step 6
In addition to the above rules of running in, do not operate a car with a trailer, do not load more than 50% of the maximum load. Check the engine oil level daily. Whenever possible, choose asphalt roads for travel, without going down dirt and country roads. To quickly cope with the break-in period, drive the first 500-1500 break-in kilometers in the next 1-2 weekends after purchase.
