The service life of the car is not to a small extent dependent on how correctly its initial period of operation (running-in) was carried out. When the car is run-in, all rubbing parts of the car are prepared for operation under normal conditions. During this period, the vehicle must be operated at a reduced load and at reduced travel speeds. There are other break-in rules.
Instructions
Step 1
Start driving only after warming up the engine at a low crankshaft speed in idle mode for 4-5 minutes. When doing this, slightly close the air damper. Do not warm up the engine at a high crankshaft frequency.
Step 2
Use the moderate travel speeds recommended by the manufacturer for the break-in period.
Step 3
Do not drive the car during the break-in period without extreme need on difficult roads, off-road, do not overcome steep and long inclines.
Step 4
When driving on poor-quality surfaces, do not give the vehicle full load.
Step 5
During the break-in period, an experienced driver must be behind the wheel of the car, do not allow students who do not have sufficient experience to drive the car.
Step 6
After prolonged driving, periodically check with your hand the degree of heating of the propeller shaft, gearbox housing, rear axle housing, brake drums and wheel hubs. The hand must withstand prolonged contact. If there is a significant and excessive heating of the hubs, adjust their bearings. With increased heating of the brake drums, check the serviceability of the brake system.
Step 7
If manual express diagnostics shows heating of the rear axle housing, cardan shafts and gearbox, reduce the vehicle speed. If this measure does not help, and the overheating remains high, disassemble the indicated units (by yourself or in a car repair shop) for control and adjustment.
