First, determine which type of oil filter is right for your vehicle. There are three types of oil filters: combined, full-flow and partial-flow.

When buying a filter, pay attention to its quality, which will serve as a guarantee of long-term operation of the car engine. In a high-quality filter, the filter paper must necessarily be thin, since thick paper will shorten its normal operation. Also, consult your dealer about the paper's resistance to high temperatures and oil, otherwise the paper filter will quickly fail and you will have to replace it with a new one again.
Step 3
In addition, check the pressure at the inlet of the bypass valve. If the pressure is low, it means that unfiltered oil will enter the engine. If you want to be sure that oil will not flow out during the machine standstill, then check the return shut-off valve for leaks. Do not lose sight of the spring element for closing tension, as if it is weak, unfiltered oil will also enter the engine.
Step 4
Take the filter in your hands and check if the elastic is tight enough on it, and what is the elasticity of this elastic. Examine the filter carefully for rust and damage that can play a bad joke with you directly during its operation.
