It is necessary

  • - car brand "ZAZ-968"
  • - knots and parts of a sidecar from a motorcycle
  • - steel tubes

Instructions

Step 1

Start assembling the Buggy by creating a frame. For this, it is necessary to prepare sections of seamless steel pipes. The length and thickness must be determined using a special template. In order to prevent corrugations from forming at the bending points, it is necessary to tightly fill the pipes with sand, heat them with a gas burner and only after completing these steps bend. Further, all parts are welded together. To avoid possible deformation, use a slipway and clamps.

Step 2

Start making the front axle. It consists of a suspension and a shock absorber. This allows for a large wheel travel. To create a structure, you can use ready-made units and parts of a sidecar from a motorcycle. As for the pivot pins, brake drums, shock absorbers and wheels, it is better to take them from a ZAZ-968 car.

Step 3

Make a rear axle. To do this, you need to make a lever from steel pipes. Next, weld the flange to the right side. As a rule, it is turned on a lathe from a steel billet. On the left, two short sections of pipe 30 mm long are welded, into which rubber bushings will need to be pressed. The rear wheel axle can be made from the sidecar shaft from a motorcycle.

Step 4

Start creating the engine mount. A stretcher is very often used for this purpose. It can be taken from the Jupiter motorcycle. Then it is attached to the frame with rubber bushings. They will help reduce vibration from the engine. It is also required to separate the driver's seat from the device with a fire-resistant partition.

Step 5

Install the steering gear. To do this, it must be bolted to the frame. The steering wheel shaft can be made of steel pipe. To make the fastening more durable, the flange is welded.

Step 6

Create a power and exhaust system. To do this, a fuel tank must be installed behind the driver's seat. Fuel is supplied by two vacuum pumps that are attached to the frame. Next, install the carburetor to the engine. You can get it from the Cheset motorcycle.

Step 7

Install the ignition system. For this, a two-spark magneto is used, which is connected to the crankshaft. To stop the motor, it is required to remove the insulated wire from the low-voltage winding of the magneto and connect it to the switch.
